About us
At Philips Piano Store, we provide a full spectrum of piano repair services, from minor on-site repairs like sticky keys and damaged strings to piano reconstruction and restoration.
We started off as an academy in 2014 called Philip’s Piano Academy. We understood that nothing touches us more when children or adults are now able to enjoy the fun of playing the piano or keyboard along with all the benefits. What was once an almost impossible task is now possible with Philip’s Piano Academy.
Later, we wished to expand our empire by moving on to the business aspect of piano, so we can become the one stop solution to all your piano needs.

Piano Tuning
Our goal is to not only tune your piano, but also to service it, evaluate it, and keep you informed about the status of your piano.
You might be wondering why pianos even need to be tuned. The solution is simple: the strings are under a lot of tension, and they stretch over time. Finding a certified piano tuner and keeping a regular piano tuning routine will help to extend the life and enjoyment of your piano. You change the oil in your car on a regular basis; regular tuning for your piano is the same!
You may want to explore tuning your piano yourself, but only if you’re ready to put in the time and effort to learn how to do so. It takes a long time for a professional piano tuner to hone their skills. Attempting to tune your own piano without prior experience puts your piano at risk of snapping strings and breaking components. If this occurs, the repair work will very certainly be much more expensive than a simple tune session.
Piano Rebuilding
Our fully-equipped piano repair shop does piano rebuilding and restoration right here at Philips Piano Store. Our technicians have received extensive training and have a wealth of experience.
If you have a piano that needs to be rebuilt, we will analyse it ourselves and produce a proposal for you to consider depending on your particular piano goals.

Piano Refinishing
Piano cabinet refinishing is an excellent approach to increase the value of an older piano while also bringing the exterior to life. It needs a significant amount of time and attention, as well as numerous processes.
The original piano finish is removed first, and any loose, cracked, or missing veneer is repaired. The piano case and parts are next sanded to make them even, uniform, and ready to be stained to match the intended colour as closely as possible.
We repair the felt under the keyboard cover, install new decals on the fallboard cover over the keys, and buff all brass hardware, including hinges, casters, pedals, knobs, screws, and so on, to make them appear fresh again. Any plated sections that aren’t solid brass will be rubbed to clean them up as much as possible, which improves the piano’s overall appearance and attractiveness. Re-plating the hardware is also an option that can be implemented if necessary.
Piano Key Recovering
Piano keys are prone to becoming chipped, cracked, scratched, deformed, and discoloured with time. We provide a number of key recovery alternatives to help you improve your piano keys.
Depending on the age and type of plastic used, we can typically remove fine scratches and restore the whiteness of plastic white keys, making them look brand new again.
Buffing ivory keys can also improve their appearance by cleaning them and removing scratches and discolouration. We provide a bleaching process for ivory keys for an even whiter look and to return them to their original colour so they look their finest.

Piano Cleaning
You could be amazed at what lurks inside your piano if you’ve never had it properly cleaned. Pianos accumulate a lot of dust, filth, trash, bugs, pencils, action figures, and pretty much anything else! All of this dirt and debris can degrade your piano’s performance and aesthetics over time.
We provide a piano deep cleaning service that will leave your piano gleaming clean, including all of the hard-to-reach spots such as beneath the strings, inside the action, and beneath the piano keys. The Deep Cleaning Package also includes lubrication of the friction spots inside your piano’s action, resulting in a silky smooth and easy-to-play keyboard.
Piano Climate Control Systems
More than (Number of Add Device Name) have been fitted by our skilled experts. This technology extends the life of your piano by maintaining the appropriate interior humidity level of 42 percent throughout the year. To maintain the equipment operating at its best, we service each system at the same time as the piano is tuned.
The (Add Device Name) outlines the perils of winter’s dry heat and summer’s excessive humidity, as well as how this system mitigates these effects.

Tone Regulation
Everyone knows that pianos need to be tuned on a regular basis to sound excellent, but many piano owners are unaware that their piano’s tone quality also requires care. Unlike electronic keyboards, which sound the same every time they’re turned on, the tone quality of your piano alters over time as the felt hammers wear down.
The tone quality of your piano can and should be modified on a regular basis. This procedure, known as Tone Regulation or Voicing, ensures that your piano retains the warm, expressive sound that makes pianos so enjoyable to listen to. Tone Regulation is the key to maintaining the quality of your piano’s tone year after year.
